Great Houston Properties isn't a franchise or a large team operation. It's a boutique brokerage built by two people who have been doing this work together since 2002 — through market booms, downturns, a global pandemic, and every kind of transaction in between. That history shapes how we work with every client we serve.

We started in real estate before we had a company name, building our skills and our reputation one transaction at a time. Today, after more than two decades and over a thousand homes sold, the foundation is the same: show up prepared, be honest, work hard, and treat every client's goals as if they were our own.

How We Got Here

Great Houston Properties traces its roots to May 2002, when Ruth Gracey obtained her real estate license and joined her aunt's small brokerage, which focused on property management for investors. Jason joined the following year and together they began serving buyers and sellers across Greater Houston.

In 2005 they made the decision to work together as a dedicated team, and Jason shortly after earned his broker's license. Over the years they worked alongside several well-regarded local firms, including Keller Williams and Re/Max, building experience and deepening their knowledge of the Greater Houston market. In 2013 they founded Great Houston Properties, LLC, and in 2020 the firm transitioned into a fully independent, stand-alone brokerage.

Through all of it, Jason and Ruth also raised four children, homeschooling them while staying fully active in the business. They were involved in Scouting, church ministry, homeowners associations, and local nonprofits — not as a marketing strategy, but because community has always been part of how they live.
